AuSable Inclusion Center Newsletter--January 2026

Hi Friends!
I hope your holidays have been joyful and rejuvenating. While our office has been closed, we’ve been preparing for a season of some new ways of doing things and a new program. I’m excited to share with you many of those details, while more will be emerging down the road.
First of all, some changes to existing programs I want to highlight:
-Hygiene Closet Open Access hours are changing in 2026 to 12 PM to 4 PM
-Both in-person support groups are relocating from our building in Mio to St. Francis Episcopal Church in Grayling. The address is: 6441 W M-72 Hwy, Grayling, MI. The time is also changing to 5 PM. Parents and Families of LGBTQ+ remains on the second Wednesday of each month, while LGBTQ+ Adults remains on the third Wednesday of each month.
Both of these changes are responses to input from community members, data analysis, and long-term mission-focused discernment. We are committed to delivering programs that maximize our impact in service of our mission while being good stewards of our resources and good community partners.
Next, I want to highlight a new program that has been in development… Crafting Club! On the third Friday of each month, we will gather at 3 PM to make friends and make projects… whatever your current project is, bring it along! We’ll also have a supply swap table, so if you’re going through your stash and want to downsize and share with a neighbor, this is your chance! Feel free to stick around for free pizza during Game Night immediately following, but no pressure to stay for the full time if you don’t want to! Our first Crafting Club is Friday, January 16.
